"A click online saves time"

Each year Right to Information (RTI) Day is celebrated on 28 September throughout Australia. The CCC was an Official Partner of the 2019 event, reflecting our commitment to improving access to information for the community, consistent with the Right to Information Act 2009.

The principles of the RTI Act encourage a culture of openness, transparency and accountability within the public sector. It also contributes to more effective and efficient service delivery which can result in building greater trust in the services we provide to the community.

Wherever possible, the CCC attempts to proactively release information to the community.  However, we must also safeguard sensitive information on occasions when its release would be contrary to the broader public interest, impact an investigation or other legislative restrictions or qualifications prevent its release.

You can find out more about Your Right to Information by visiting the Office of the Information Commissioner’s website or the CCC’s RTI page.
