Complaints we can help with
- Queensland public sector agencies (departments, statutory bodies and state-owned corporations) - this includes police, councils, universities, courts, tribunals, boards, and prisons
- Queensland public sector employees of those agencies listed above
- Any person whose conduct is believed to be corrupt or affect the performance of a public sector agency
- Any police officer whose conduct is believed to involve police misconduct
- Conduct involving state and local government politicians that, if proved, would amount to a criminal offence
Complaints we can’t help with
- Private sector matters, unless they arise out of dealings with the public sector agency
- Breaches of discipline or codes of conduct by elected officials or government employees (other than by police officers)
- Other states' or territories parliamentarians, departments or agencies
- Federal parliamentarians, departments or agencies

Response
Once we have assessed your complaint, you get a letter or email telling you what we will do about your
complaint (unless you have chosen not to provide your contact details).
In the 2023/24 Financial Year, the CCC has experienced a significant increase in complaint numbers. As a
result, you may experience some delay before we advise you how your complaint has been assessed.
