Under section 48A of the Crime and Corruption Act 2001, units of public administration (UPAs) must have a policy for dealing with complaints that involve or may involve their public official/CEO.
The CCC has prepared templates which may be reproduced or drawn on for guidance in the development of a UPA's own policy.
There are two different templates: one for use by government departments only, and a second general one.
The department template refers to, and attaches, a copy of the Public Sector Commission’s “Framework for oversight of senior public service employee complaints devolved by the CCC” that came into effect on 1 March 2023. Links to a pdf copy of this attachment, and word versions of the two templates are included on this page.
Templates last updated: 14 November 2024.
This template is to be used by all departments declared under s. 197 of the Public Sector Act 2022, except for the Department of the Premier and Cabinet, the Queensland Police Service and the Queensland Fire Department.
