Beginning in 1991, the Criminal Justice Commission (CJC) has commissioned a series of surveys of Queensland residents about their attitudes towards the Queensland Police Service (QPS). To date, three surveys have been conducted, with the most recent being administered in June 1995.
This paper summarises the key findings of the most recent "Public Attitudes to the QPS" survey, compares the results with those of previous surveys and identifies the implications of the results for the QPS.
