Two men will face aggravated fraud charges for their alleged involvement in investment frauds on the Gold Coast.

Today the Crime and Corruption Commission served a Notice to Appear in Court on a 42-year-old Robina man and a 34-year-old Coombabah man.

The charges relate to the joint CCC-QPS Operation Unwind. (See previous media releases from 17 August 201518 August 201519 August 2015 and 29 September 2015).

The CCC will allege the men were involved in the operation of a boiler room that was based in Bundall and the associated sales campaigns for:

  • Advanced Wealth Systems (AWS)
  • Anderson Wilson Stuart (AWS)
  • Patterson Harvey
  • PHG Trading
  • Pierson Hopkins Group

Both men will face one count of aggravated fraud contrary to section 408C of the Queensland Criminal Code.

They are due to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on 21 January 2016.
