This report is a CMC review of QPS processes for managing police discipline and misconduct matters; it considers ethical standards and practice and recommends changes to ensure police accountability and integrity.

This is the third in a series of recent reports in which the Crime and Misconduct Commission (CMC) has drawn public attention to ethical standards and practice within the Queensland Police Service (QPS).

  • The first of these was Dangerous Liaisons, published in July 2009, which reported on our investigation into allegations of police misconduct.
  • The second was the CMC's Review of the QPS’s Palm Island Review, published in June 2010.

This report was tabled in Parliament on 21 December 2010.
