This paper focuses specifically on the results of surveys administered to first year constables (FYCs) after they have spent some time 'in the field' as operational police.
The survey seeks to find out what police think of the disciplinary and complaints procedures within the QPS and to get their responses to a number of scenarios of unethical conduct by police officers.
The surveys were administered in class while officers were attending the Academy for in-service training, and were filled out by the officers themselves.
