The Crime and Corruption Commission is supporting Privacy Awareness Week (PAW) which runs from 1 to 7 May 2023. This year’s theme is Privacy 101: Back to Basics. It’s a great reminder that every day we can do things to protect our privacy, and the privacy of others.
PAW is an annual event that shines a light on the importance of protecting and respecting personal information. At the CCC, we take privacy seriously and do everything we can to ensure people’s privacy rights are respected. You can view the CCC’s Privacy Policy at ccc.qld.gov.au/publications/privacy.
PAW is also a good time for people throughout Queensland’s public sector to reflect on their responsibility to adhere to privacy requirements when dealing with confidential and personal information. We have a range of corruption prevention resources that provide advice and guidance on managing corruption risks, including the misuse of confidential information. You can access the CCC’s corruption prevention resources at ccc.qld.gov.au/public-sector/corruption-prevention.
