A 54-year-old Yamanto man was today served with a Notice to Appear in Court to face one charge of Misconduct in Public Office following a Crime and Corruption Commission (CCC) investigation.

The former Ipswich City Council employee will face one charge of Misconduct in Public Office contrary to section 92A(1) of the Criminal Code and is expected to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on 21 May 2018.

As the CCC’s investigation remains ongoing and this matter is now before the court, the CCC is unable to comment further.

The CCC is an independent agency combating major crime and reducing corruption for the benefit of the Queensland community.
