A 45-year-old Townsville police officer was today served with a Notice To Appear by the Crime and Corruption Commission (CCC) for allegedly assaulting a 14-year-old female in 2015.
The Constable is required to appear in the Townsville Magistrates Court on 21 April 2016 to face the following charge:
- 1 x Common Assault contrary to section 335(1) (Queensland Criminal Code 1899)
As the matter is now before the courts, the CCC is unable to comment further.
