The Crime and Corruption Commission’s (CCC) public hearing as part of Taskforce Flaxton will commence on Monday 14 May 2018.

The hearing will be held at the CCC’s office in Fortitude Valley and is expected to run for approximately two weeks.

In March the CCC called for written public submissions as part of Taskforce Flaxton.

These submissions have now been published on the CCC’s website.

Any additional submissions will be published in due course.

An initial witness list is now available. Further witnesses may be added.

Taskforce Flaxton will examine possible systemic issues with a view to raising standards of integrity relevant to detecting, managing and preventing corruption risks associated with Queensland corrective services facilities.

The CCC will issue a public report on the outcomes of Taskforce Flaxton.

Further information about Taskforce Flaxton will be made available on the CCC’s website in the lead-up to the hearing.
