The Crime and Corruption Commission (CCC) yesterday afternoon charged a 43-year-old Tarragindi man with drug offences following a major crime investigation which commenced in 2017.

The CCC will allege the Tarragindi man was involved in trafficking cocaine throughout south Brisbane.

He was charged at the Brisbane City Watch-house with:

  • 2 x supplying dangerous drugs contrary to Section 6 of the Drugs Misuse Act 1986
  • 1 x trafficking dangerous drugs contrary to Section 5 of the Drugs Misuse Act 1986.

The man was held in custody and is expected to appear before the Brisbane Magistrates Court today.

Five people, including the Tarragindi man arrested yesterday, have so far been charged with 19 drug-related offences related to this investigation.

As these matters are now before the court, the CCC is unable to comment further.

The CCC is an independent agency combating major crime and reducing corruption for the benefit of the Queensland community.
