The Crime and Misconduct Commission (CMC) has noted the content and recommendations of Mr Mick Keelty’s administrative review of the CMC which was tabled in Parliament today.

Mr Keelty’s review was undertaken on behalf of the Public Service Commissioner and Government in response to the first recommendation of the earlier Callinan and Aroney Review of the CMC.

The CMC understands the recommendations from Mr Keelty’s review will be considered by the Implementation Panel which was established to progress the recommendations from earlier reviews. The CMC Chairperson sits on the Implementation Panel.

It is not appropriate for the CMC to make any detailed public comment on the recommendations while they are being considered internally and are before the Implementation Panel.

The CMC will continue to work through recommendations, including those outlined in Mr Keelty’s review, with the Implementation Panel.
