The Crime and Corruption Commission (CCC) has been advised by the Queensland Police Service (QPS) that an officer seconded to the CCC has been stood down from official duty with the QPS following an investigation by the Ethical Standards Command (ESC) into allegations of unauthorised access of confidential information.

The CCC was advised by the QPS ESC this afternoon and the officer has now been stood down and will be tasked to perform non-operational duties.

As a result of this action, the officer’s secondment to the CCC has been rescinded.

The allegations do not relate to CCC operational work or inappropriate access to confidential CCC information.

It is not appropriate for the CCC to comment further on this matter whilst the QPS investigation remains ongoing.
