A 46-year-old Senior Constable from the Moreton District was served a Notice To Appear in court today to face forgery and uttering offences following a Crime and Corruption Commission (CCC) investigation.

The CCC will allege the Senior Constable prepared, signed and submitted a statement on behalf of another police officer without their knowledge.

The officer is expected to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on 13 May 2019 on the following charges:

  • 1 x forgery contrary to section 488 of the Criminal Code
  • 1 x uttering contrary to section 488 of the Criminal Code.

The CCC has advised the Ethical Standards Command of the Queensland Police Service.

As this matter is before the court, it is not appropriate for the CCC to comment further.

The CCC is an independent agency combating major crime and reducing corruption for the benefit of the Queensland community.
