Yesterday the Crime and Corruption Commission (CCC) served a Notice to Appear in court on a 39-year-old Detective Senior Constable for one count of Fraud and one count of Fraudulent falsification of records contrary to sections 408C and 430 of the Queensland Criminal Code.

It will be alleged the current serving Queensland Police Service (QPS) Detective gave a false reason for speeding in a police vehicle and then submitted a false document requesting exemption for the speeding offence.

The Detective is expected to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on 16 August 2021.

The CCC has advised the QPS Ethical Standards Command.

As this matter is now before the court, the CCC is unable to comment further.

The CCC is an independent agency combating major crime and reducing corruption for the benefit of the Queensland community.
