The Crime and Corruption Commission (CCC) has charged two people with drug offences as part of the ongoing investigation that is focused on a cocaine trafficking syndicate operating in South East Queensland.

The CCC last night charged a 58-year-old Surfers Paradise man with the following offences:

  • Two counts of supply dangerous drug
  • One count of possess dangerous drug
  • One count of possess utensil
  • One count of possess anything used in the commission of a crime
  • One count of unlawfully possess motor vehicle with circumstances of aggravation to facilitate commission of indictable offence
  • One count of make false statement in application for an Australian Passport.

He is scheduled to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court this morning (25 April 2015).

Last night the CCC also charged a 36-year-old Robina woman with the following offences:

  • One count of possess dangerous drug
  • One count of possess utensil
  • One count of unlawfully possess motor vehicle with circumstance of aggravation to facilitate the commission of an indictable offence

She was bailed to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on 11 May 2015.

Consistent with CCC policy, the CCC will not confirm or deny the names of the individuals charged or make further comment while these and related matters are before the court.

The CCC’s investigation into the cocaine trafficking syndicate is ongoing.
