A 54-year-old Yamanto man was yesterday served a Notice to Appear in Court to face one charge of Misconduct in Public Office following a Crime and Corruption Commission (CCC) investigation.

CCC investigators served the Notice on the Ipswich City Council employee yesterday. He will face one charge of Misconduct in Public Office contrary to section 92A(1) of the Queensland Criminal Code and is expected to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on 27 September 2017.

The CCC has advised Ipswich City Council.

As the CCC’s investigation remains ongoing and this matter is now before the court, the CCC is unable to comment further.

The CCC is an independent agency combating major crime and reducing corruption for the benefit of the Queensland community.
