A 65-year-old Ipswich man will face court on two charges of attempting to pervert justice.
This evening the Crime and Corruption Commission (CCC) served a Notice to Appear in court on the legal representative of the 65-year-old man.
It is expected the 65-year-old man will appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on 8 August 2017 to face the following charges:
- 2 x attempting to pervert justice contrary to section 140 of the Queensland Criminal Code.
As the CCC’s investigation remains ongoing and these matters are now before the court, the CCC is unable to comment further.
The CCC is an independent agency combating major crime and reducing corruption for the benefit of the Queensland community.
