As a result of a Crime and Corruption Commission (CCC) investigation, the CCC last night (27 October 2014) issued a police officer from the South Eastern Region with a Notice to Appear in Court for allegedly possessing dangerous drugs.
The CCC executed a search warrant at a Gold Coast property and will allege the Detective Senior Constable was in possession of dangerous drugs.
He is expected to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on 19 November 2014 on three separate counts of possessing dangerous drugs, contrary to Section 9 of the Drugs Misuse Act 1986.
As the matter is now before the courts, the CCC will not provide further information.
