The Crime and Corruption Commission (CCC) has charged a Gold Coast man with drug trafficking and supply as part of an ongoing investigation that is focused on a cocaine trafficking syndicate operating in South East Queensland.

The CCC will allege that during the course of the investigation the 43-year-old Tugun man was identified acting as a driver for the syndicate.

The CCC yesterday afternoon charged the man with one count of Drug Trafficking contrary to section 5 of the Drugs Misuse Act 1986, 48 counts of Supply Dangerous Drug contrary to section 6 of the Drugs Misuse Act 1986, four counts of Permit Premises contrary to section 11 of the Drugs Misuse Act 1986, and two counts of Possess Thing Used in a Crime contrary to section 10 of the Drugs Misuse Act 1986.
