The Crime and Corruption Commission (CCC) determined on Friday (2 September 2016) to continue with its inquiries and investigate allegations of corrupt conduct relating to the 2016 Gold Coast City Council elections.

The CCC has received numerous complaints on a range of issues linked to the election and has been assessing information from several sources to determine whether an investigation is warranted.

If members of the public and current or former councillors have information they think might be relevant to the CCC’s investigation they can contact the CCC on 1800 061 611. The CCC can take information confidentially if required.

The CCC is limited in providing further information whilst the investigation remains ongoing.
