The Crime and Corruption Commission (CCC) has charged a 38-year-old Bundaberg North man with child exploitation offences.
The man works at a before and after school care service at a primary school in the Wide Bay-Burnett region.
The CCC today executed a search warrant at a residential property in Bundaberg North and located a computer and a number of storage devices that allegedly contained child exploitation material. The CCC was assisted by the Queensland Police Service (QPS) Bundaberg Child Protection Investigation Unit.
The CCC charged the man with five counts of possessing child exploitation material, contrary to section 228D Criminal Code (Qld).
He was remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear in the Bundaberg Magistrates Court tomorrow (21 October 2015).
The CCC has notified the Department of Education and Training.
Investigations are ongoing. As the matter is now before the courts, the CCC is unable to comment further.
