A 47-year-old Brassall man was today charged with 14 fraud offences resulting from the Crime and Corruption Commission’s (CCC) investigation into Ipswich City Council known as Operation Windage.

The man was already facing seven other fraud offences after he was charged by the CCC on 2 May 2018. During an appearance at the Brisbane Magistrates Court today, the existing seven fraud charges were withdrawn. Those charges were replaced and seven new charges were commenced bringing the total number of charges to 14.

The man is expected to reappear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on 26 October 2018.

A total of 15 people have now been charged with 93 offences as a result of Operation Windage.

As these matters are before the court, it is not appropriate for the CCC to comment further.
