CCC’s 2025–26 Annual Report tabled in Parliament

The Crime and Corruption Commission’s (CCC) 2025–26 Annual Report has been tabled in State Parliament today by the Attorney-General, Minister for Justice and Minister for Integrity.

The report summarises the CCC’s activities, achievements and performance for the financial year ending 30 June 2026.

The breadth of work undertaken by the CCC for the benefit of the Queensland community is demonstrated by its significant outcomes this financial year. 

• The Crime Division held 100 days of crime and intelligence hearings, examining 94 witnesses in relation to 12 homicide investigations, 5 child deaths or serious injury related investigations, 8 investigations into organised crime offending, and supporting 3 intelligence operations. 
   
• Our collaboration with the Australian Government Fraud Fusion Taskforce’s investigation into NDIS fraud resulted in the CCC taking restraint action in relation to more than $5 million in gold, silver and funds obtained by a criminal syndicate. 
   
• Our public report on the investigation into the conduct of the former Mayor of Townvillle, Mr Troy Thompson, recommended legislative reform designed to ensure truthful conduct by electoral candidates, improve verification of candidates’ statements, and strengthen enforcement of offences such as misleading voters. 
   
• Our finalised corruption investigations resulted in significant outcomes including six people charged with 22 offences and our 38 prevention recommendations are currently with agencies to support system improvements and reduce their corruption vulnerabilities.
