Two Rockhampton police officers and a woman charged with additional drug offences - 19 April

The Crime and Corruption Commission (CCC) has today charged two Rockhampton-based police officers and a woman with additional criminal offences as part of an ongoing investigation.

All three people were previously charged by the CCC on drug-related offences in March.

A 35 year-old-male Constable was charged with one count of Trafficking in a Dangerous Drug (steroids) contrary to section 5 of the Drugs Misuse Act 1986 or alternatively seven charges of supplying a Dangerous Drug (steroids) contrary to section 6 Drugs Misuse Act 1986.

He was also charged with failing to dispose of a syringe and needle contrary to section 10(4)(a) Drugs Misuse Act 1986 and one charge of possessing of a thing (mobile phone) used in the commission of a crime defined in part 2 of the Drugs Misuse Act 1986 (Section 10(1)(b).

The 30 year-old-male Constable was charged with two counts of Misconduct in relation to Public Office contrary to section 92A(1)(a) of the Criminal Code Act 1899.

The 27-year-old Rockhampton woman was charged with one count of Trafficking in a Dangerous Drug (steroids) contrary to section 5 Drugs Misuse Act 1986 or alternatively five charges of supply dangerous drug contrary to section 6 Drugs Misuse Act 1986 and was also charged with one x Possession of a thing (mobile phone) used in the commission of a crime defined in Part 2 of the Drugs Misuse Act 1986 (Section 10(1)(b).

They are expected to appear in the Rockhampton Magistrates Court today.

As the matter is now before the courts, the CCC is unable to comment further.
