QPS officer charged with assault – 18 November 2016

A 40-year-old current serving Senior Constable of the Queensland Police Service (QPS) has been charged with assault following a Crime and Corruption Commission (CCC) investigation.

The CCC will allege that the Senior Constable assaulted a 16-year-old male at Parkinson in Brisbane’s south on 6 June 2016.

The officer was served with a Notice To Appear before the Brisbane Magistrates Court on 1 December 2016 on the following charge:

  • 1 x Assault occasioning bodily harm contrary to section 339 Qld Criminal Code 1899

As this matter is now before the courts, the CCC is unable to make further comment.
